All About Tons of Turkeys

The Warther's grow a Thanks-giving tradition.

Tons of Turkeys came to life this time in 2009 when my father, Richard Warther, loaded my sister and I into a rented U-Haul truck and drove us all the way to Orefield, Pennsylvania.  We visited the local turkey farm and packed 100 turkeys into the back of our truck.

Our adventure continued as we drove to Philadelphia and unloaded the turkeys at Philabundance, a local charity organization.  They were ecstatic to receive our generous donation! These turkeys fed over 100 underprivileged families, instilling a sense of hope and thanks at their dinner table.

In 2020 we are supporting City Team in Philadelphia/Chester and the Chester County Food Bank - our goal is to donate 4,000 turkeys.

Our family is very blessed, and we’ve realized the best way to show how truly thankful we are is to share the spirit of Thanksgiving. We are instilled with a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, knowing how many people Tons of Turkeys has helped – and will continue to do so – with your help!

We've been so fortunate that this Thanksgiving celebration has flourished.  It is our hope as a family and as an organization that we can continue growing this tradition with the support of so many generous individuals and business owners.

In essence, Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express our general gratitude.  Since 1565, families across the country have been feasting in celebration of the things in their lives that they appreciate most.  We want to help continue this wonderful tradition!

Thanksgiving is an important American tradition that we believe everyone should have the opportunity to take part in, regardless of financial resources.

Our family is very blessed, and we’ve realized the best way to show how truly thankful we are is to share the spirit of Thanksgiving.

In return, we are all instilled with a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, knowing how many people we’ve helped and encouraged.
